Reserva Natural 7G

«Un legado del que sos parte»

Regeneration is a fact

We work in Active Conservation, with an appropriate and measurable intervention.
Today we can say that regeneration is a fact: from the moment a significant reduction in livestock is implemented, flora begins to grow and fauna returns. This inspired the creation of a Natural Reserve, and along this path we have designed activities and spaces integrated into the ecosystem, based on an environmental technical protocol and developed through collective collaboration with the local community, specialists, and institutions. We believe in what is measured and carried out with rigor, which is why we can say that regeneration is a reality and will remain our commitment for the next seven generations.

Regeneration objectives

Transparency and Integration. We share our indicators and objectives with which you can collaborate and leave your mark.

Our management

We unite conservation, education and responsible tourism in a model that puts nature as the protagonist. We care for the territory with criteria of sustainability, transparency and permanence, so that each action becomes a real contribution to biodiversity and its regeneration, to foster a shared legacy.

The Natural Reserve

The Natural Reserve 7 Generations is located in the Sierras del Este, 19.5km from the city of Aiguá to the north of the department of Maldonado (Uruguay).

This project is born in a living, complex and valuable territory: More than 270 hectares of mountain grasslands, native forests, lakes, wetlands and freshwater springs, where a great diversity of species live and key ecological processes for the balance of the ecosystem occur.

The process of transformation into a reserve was not spontaneous or symbolic: it is a technical, deep and committed path.

We apply an Environmental Technical Protocol carried out by Origen Latam to diagnose the real state of the environments. Thanks to this methodical work, led by specialized teams, we identified priority species for conservation at the national and international level, with some species with few records in Uruguay.

Integrate to regenerate

Education and social integration are necessary for regeneration. Our purpose is to share and inspire, working collectively with the local community, technicians and social and educational institutions. We are part of the territory and we approach regeneration as a social, cultural and scientific process.

Some Surveys

Avifauna study in which a total of 85 bird species were recorded, six of which are considered conservation priorities in Uruguay.

A comprehensive assessment of natural grasslands showed high floristic richness, with the presence of more than 14 priority species, and a vegetation structure that still preserves original characteristics of hill communities.

A limnological analysis of the lakes made it possible to understand the trophic dynamics and water quality of these bodies, which are fundamental to local ecological processes and wildlife.

Camera trap deployment. Wildlife was studied using camera traps, acoustic monitoring, and technical field surveys. The results confirm that this territory retains significant ecological functionality.

The Model

We focus on conservation, regenerative production, science, education, and territorial engagement.

We have built an Integrated Management Model based on:

  • Permanence.
  • Technical monitoring.
  • Education.
  • Regenerative production.
  • A genuine connection with the territory and its communities.

We are a Private Natural Reserve, and our intention is to protect what exists and regenerate what has been lost, sustaining it over the long term through evidence, action, and learning.

For us, a reserve is not just a protected space. It is a place that is understood, studied, inhabited, cared for, and shared.

Water

Water in 7G flows in lakes, streams and springs, uniting science and nature. We monitor and protect water quality as a commitment to future generations.

Flora

Each record of the protocol evidences the richness and complexity of the native ecosystems that make up the heart of the reserve. Among these evidences is Yerba Mate and other priority species.

Fauna

The fauna moves freely: birds, mammals, amphibians and insects that reveal the health of the ecosystem and remind us that each species is part of the balance.

Soil

Mountain soils are the geological memory of the territory and guard the history of thousands of years of life.

Leave your mark

Generating Positive Impact is possible, and even more so if we do it together, with each action, each will and each relationship, we contribute to the greater purpose of regeneration.

Collaborate with regeneration and join our Community to leave your mark and be part of the Legacy of future generations, while you enjoy it.

I want to leave my mark!
